Hi, I'm George McDonald, Featured Entertainer and Owner of Harbor View Entertainment. I recently moved to Northern Michigan from the Metro Detroit area where I started my entertainment Company. I have worked with hundreds of Brides and Grooms in and around Metro Detroit, keeping up to date on the wedding industry and the various trends in weddings. The level of service that I provide is comparable to what you would expect in a major Metropolitan area such as Detroit, Chicago, Denver, Miami etc. I've provided entertainment for weddings, corporate functions, holiday parties, festivals, anniversaries, and other events for over 30 years, and it's something I genuinely enjoy. I've given more than 2000 performances, including over 1600 weddings. When you retain Harbor View Entertainment for your event, you are contracting with me to be your personal DJ/Entertainer, Master of Ceremonies and Event Coordinator for your celebration or event. I'm the only one who entertains on behalf of Harbor View Entertainment, and knowing exactly who your DJ/Entertainer is going to be, you'll have no surprises at the last minute.

Every event is tailored to reflect your individual personality and wishes. From my experience, a fun and successful event begins with a great deal of planning and preparation.

To begin, I will be working closely with you to make sure you fully understand all of the decisions you'll face and how they pertain to your event from, music, wedding traditions, to your situation with family, friends and location.

I will be glad to explain to you how your entire day will go, giving you a better understanding of the time line. Let me explain. Many times brides and grooms don't plan for enough time for pictures before the ceremony and after the ceremony before the reception. You and I will go over all these details to insure that your time is being utilized to benefit you the most. We will discuss the ceremony and your music; choices might include pre-ceremony music, the music for the bridesmaids, music for you as you walk down the aisle, sand ceremony, candle lighting ceremony, readings, solo performances during the ceremony, and recessional music as you walk down the aisle once you are married. Wow, don't worry. I have provided the music and been involved in hundreds of ceremonies.

We will also discuss how you want to be introduced at the reception. For example, a song playing in the background, your wedding party introduction, or something fun and unique that you would like to do. We will discuss the order of the various events that take place at a reception, such as the Blessing, toasts, cutting the cake, etc. I will describe the preparation that I do before the toasts and blessing so that every detail goes very smoothly. I have many ideas on how to deal with remarried parents, single parents, uneven numbers in the wedding party, what to do with significant others if half your wedding party has a spouse or boyfriend or girlfriend. I will let you know how to remember those who are too ill to attend, and those loved ones you've lost.

Throughout the event, I stay in close contact with your photographers and always inform them what might be happening next. Your Photographer will take better pictures and your Videographer will capture more memorable video when everyone is enjoying the event! Having a good relationship with the caterer, hall manager, and photographers as I do is very important to the success of the event.

We will go over all the details, from the beginning until the end of the night and all the fun ideas to make your party the time of your life.
